@illyBytes but keyboard is working now, just sucks that I'm stuck with the ugly breeze sddm theme, because for some reason the maldives theme don't show the keyboard
@passocacornio i got an idea, if the keyboard is an external app and not a plugin (since i dont really know how kde handles it) is it plausible to like wrap it in something that launches the keyboard with a specific theme (ik supports this with env vars) so that sddm could be the theme u want?
@illyBytes I think it's more a case of the theme not being equipped to handle the virtual input, maybe not using the api or stuff like that (don't know exactly, never tried to create themes for sddm, maybe I should try)... because we always have to keep in mind that accessibility will never be priority to foss people
@passocacornio ik that the heavy deps on gnome stuff is just distro skill issue tho since gdm on alpine is actually optimized and only brings in the bare minimum from gnome lol
