okay, managed to solve it by installing newest version of linux kernel
was confused at first why the package manager isn't installing it despite faer unmasking it (newest version is considered a testing package, so it requires an explicit opt-in), but after searching for a bit, fae figured out that fae also needs to opt-in to virtual/dist-kernel's testing versions
@sugar huh, im guessing that kernel version probably adds a delay before polling the logi receiver cus ive discovered my sleep and ssd crash issues were related to how sleep failed because my logi bolt receiver (and other mouse receivers ive used) just insta woke up my laptop after putting to sleep, my "hack" (which tbh should be a default on laptops) was to disable usb wake up for it lol
