and the thing is, control panel, which is a part of explorer, is kinda a web browser!!!

like new stuff has no excuse being this laggy and slow, just smells of skill issue

@illyBytes the "everything is a browser" philosophy began with win9x and back then it was actually fairly performant nontheless so yeah

@illyBytes those early web interfaces were simple html/css, now we have javascript framework sludge and engines need to accomodate for that, thats probably the biggest difference
