if you are programming without an os youre gonna have to manage your own memory right. maybe you get away with rust's automatic stuff for the simple cases but whenever you want to do literally anything interesting surely itll be time to bust out the unsafe blocks at which point you have lost the singular benefit of the language and are stuck with just its downsides
