@illyBytes 2 grand is tbh such a random estimate Take a lookie at the initial commits to the xe Intel driver for the skeleton for driving a modern Intel GPU, it does rely on the Linux kernel for yk, having a lot of existing infra (KMS & GEM, DMA stuff, PCIe...) but yea (To be clear I didn't write any of it, I mostly poke around in mesa and just fixed a few minor bugs in mesa and play around with my own little portable Rust driver and stuff)

@illyBytes I somewhat know how it works I mostly messed around with driving the rendering so I'm unsure a lot about the initial bringup of the device and mode setting, but I could probably hack together a shader compiler for spirv or yeet Mesa's? Actually, Mesa has a HaikuOS thing already? I seen some in the codebase, so I'd just need to... Do the thing I'm bad at atm, great
