@hsza from their wiki its mostly just dbus shit that stopping them and linux desktops relying on the system being linux instead of being portable lol

@illyBytes kde is portable enough (now) to work on freebsd at least iirc, but ugh it sucks. yet more of that bullshit with making things tied to a single platform/implementation rather than using interoperable standards. within the linux world thats the systemd brainrot, outside of it its even worse
