Honestly, the best "should I date this person" heuristic for people under 50 is "do you remember using the same version of Windows in your childhood"

If you don't rermember using Windows 3.11 or at least Windows 95 or 98, you are probably too young for me. Alternatively, if you remember using Windows 1.0, you're probably way too old for me, and also, why were you using Windows 1.0.

Questions I actually legit ask on a date:

"What noise does a modem make?"

"What is a screen saver actually supposed to save?"

"Why did we have a special computer telephone?"

"Have you ever accidentally picked up said telephone and destroyed someone's Internet connection?"

"What did C:\PROGRA~1 mean?"

"Where were you on 9/11?"

"Did you get taught to capitalise the word Internet?"

And the most important one:

"Did you ever use a computer where pressing the power button without first performing the appropriate software ritual felt vaguely illegal?"

(they must respond with: IT IS NOW SAFE TO TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER)
